About Us

At Restore Wellness we specialize in Women’s Health across the lifespan utilizing integrative therapies combined with modern medicine for comprehensive, more natural health.

Our RW therapist has been uniquely trained to use specialized tools and techniques to assess strength, mobility, gait, balance, home environment, whole person health, and to analyze postural alignment to design specially targeted corrective exercise and fitness programs to help each client reach her full potential.

We are available to see physical therapy and fitness clients in Middle TN (Nashville and surrounding areas). We also offer personalized online programs and consultations for out-of-town clients.

Dr. Angela Aitken is a board-certified, licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science and a specialty certification as a Restorative Exercise Specialist™.

She founded Restore Wellness in 2012 as a primary care private home health P.T. practice specializing in women’s health and orthopedics.

RW is excited to have recently expanded its services from primarily prenatal/postpartum women’s health to now include Senior Fitness –  encompassing the entire lifespan of women.

Prior to opening her own practice, Dr. Angela spent most of her career working with seniors in a variety of settings including hospitals, rehab facilities, outpatient clinics, and home health. Working with seniors, hearing their life stories, and gleaning insights from their wisdom and experience, is truly a passion of Dr. Angela’s.

Always a pleasure!

Dr. Angela has the experience and an increased awareness working with all types of clients, including those with injuries, illness, and other conditions. She is able to adapt each plan of care and fitness program based on individuals’ unique health history to optimize function, avoid injury or re-injury, and promote a healthier overall lifestyle.

She is also passionate about whole natural health and as such has transitioned from traditional to integrative therapies, using the best health practices from both worlds, so to speak.

A few of Dr. Angela’s favorite things are music, nature, animals, hiking, reading, writing, gardening, and studying health.

She lives with her husband, a motion graphics designer/video production specialist, three home-educating kids, and a big fluffy Maine Coon cat.

It is Dr. Angela’s dream to live with her family in a country home with high ceilings, lots of windows, and a bunch of animals.
